Acne is a medical word used for plugged pores and it affects most teens. Commonly it is sometimes called pimples or zits. Acne appears on the face, neck, chest, back, shoulders and sometimes upper arms. It is one of the most common skin diseases.
The most common forms of acne are believed to be caused by clogged skin pores. Some swear that certain foods can cause outbreaks. If you’ve searched the web you’ve likely found much conflicting information, my advice to you is to read it all and use the information to safely guide yourself through some personal lifestyle experiments. Change your diet for a few weeks, exercise or jump in a sauna every other day for a while.
There are some behaviors that many people are guilty of that can trigger acne breakouts. If you wear makeup, it is critically important to the health and appearance of your skin that you remove your makeup every single night before you go to bed. It is not enough to just expect your cleanser to remove the makeup. You have to use a product that is specifically designed for makeup removal. Sleeping with makeup on is just asking for a breakout.
How to Get Rid of Acne
If you want to get rid of acne, you'll want to wash your face and hands regularly. Most dermatologists would agree that washing once in the morning and once in the evening with a very mild soap specifically designed for facial acne treatment is one of the best ways to prevent acne breakouts. But please remember the term "very mild," because harsh soaps that are used as a sort of skin peel can cause more irritation and residual acne from infections than they might solve.
Wash properly once or twice a day, using a mild soap, and rub lightly with your fingertips and warm water. If your skin is oily, use a soap with benzoyl peroxide for its drying properties. Know
Don't ever pinch, squeeze or pick at a pimple. This only causes it to become more red and inflamed, and will spread the bacteria and oils that caused it in the first place, to other parts of your face! It can also lead to scars.
Wash acne-prone areas immediately after heavy perspiration. Take a shower as soon as you can after you’re done exercising or sweating heavily on a hot day.
Mix a couple of tablespoons of baking soda with a few drops of water and apply it to the blemish nightly until it goes away.
Good moisturizer: Because you'll be using lots of 2.5% benzoyl peroxide, your skin will most likely be dry and a little flaky. Applying a good moisturizer will help keep your skin in balance and allow you to go out into public with non-flaky, normal looking skin.
Our bodies are fine-tuned machines, continually creating new cells and getting rid of dead cells. There are three processes vital to human health; appropriation (taking in food, air, water etc), assimilation (absorbing nutrients to create new cells) and elimination (expelling waste/toxins). If any one of these is unbalanced, this can lead to less than vital health. We need to take in the right fuel, use it effectively and get rid of by-products and waste.
