Steam: take a steam from boiled water with your head covered with towel, it help in opening the pores. Do it twice a week. Remember to rinse your face with cold water after that. Egg yolk: apply egg yolk with a cotton ball and leave it for 15 mins. Paste of oatmeal and honey is also good as oatmeal soaks up excess oil ad honey soothens the skin. Bitter Gourd: peels of bitter gourd and cucumber remove pimples and reduce acne and black heads. Rub it gently on your face once a day for nearly 3-5 days.
Aloe Vera
The watery gel from Aloe Vera plant is also a highly effective natural cure against Acne. The enzyme-rich gel has very soothing anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties. It can also be taken internally and helps clean up and detox the digestive tract. This in turn can help clear up the skin.
Extract juice of one lemon and mix with equal quantity of rose water. Apply this mixture on the face and let it stay for about half an hour. Wash the face with fresh water. About 15 days application should provide the cure.
Zinc is another popular home remedy for acne. A couple of research studies have found that zinc is somewhat effective. While it was more effective than a placebo, antibiotic medication was still more effective. In light of this, it may not be the best option when scarring is a possibility.

Leave this mixture on the affected area for 15 to 30 minutes before washing with clean, tepid water.
Home face wash for acne: Mix together 1 or 2mls each of the following: witch hazel, tea-tree and sweet fennel essential oils, adding essential oil of geranium for women and essential oil of rosewood for men. Mix with 300mls of water. Shake before use, as the oils will float on top of the water during storage. Dab affected areas with cotton wool two or three times a day.
